Hi, I’m 32 I’ve had two beautiful girls aged 10 & 7.
It’s been 13minths now since my last period. Over the last 12 months I’ve put on 15kg, feeling always tired no energy and I get depressed from my weight gain. I eat healthy I’ve always been slim weighing 52kg, but now I’m heading to 65kg. Hate the way I look, I’ve lost my sex drive with my husband because I’m always so tired. I used to be the girl/wife that always loved or pushed to have sex with my husband but not anymore. I’m always suffering with a headache, constant bloating…can I seriously be going through early menopause?? Has anyone else went through the above symptoms as I mentioned above?? I need advise, when I went doctors to tell of my concerned he just laughed and said don’t be silly you’ll get your period..it’s been 13minths now

Dr Mercola has articles stressing the damage soy can do unless it is fermented which is only a few soy products. Soy milk and edamame are not on the list of safe soy as they are not fermented. Both are damaging to gut lining and, according to his research articles, hormone disruptive. Since he is careful to have extensive research and studies supporting his study, this is very conflicting. I often work with women that have major hormone issues. It’s troublesome to see two highly respected doctors -Dr Mercola and Dr Greger at opposite ends of the spectrum on soy -unless I am missing a component in this info vs Dr Mercolas?

Five cases of hepatotoxicity or liver failure , two of which resulted in death, have been reported with bicalutamide. [96] [97] Symptoms that may indicate liver dysfunction include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, anorexia , "flu-like" symptoms , dark urine , and jaundice . [20] Bicalutamide has also been associated with several case reports of interstitial pneumonitis , which can potentially progress to pulmonary fibrosis . [98] [99] [100] Symptoms that may indicate lung dysfunction include dyspnea (difficult breathing or shortness of breath), cough, and pharyngitis ( inflammation of the pharynx , resulting in sore throat ). [101] Both hepatotoxicity and interstitial pneumonitis are said to be extremely rare events with bicalutamide. [96] [102] [103] A few cases of photosensitivity have been reported with bicalutamide. [22] Hypersensitivity reactions ( drug allergy ) like angioedema and hives have also uncommonly been reported in association with bicalutamide. [20] Because it is an antiandrogen, bicalutamide has a theoretical risk of birth defects like ambiguous genitalia and brain feminization in male fetuses . [79] [80] [104] [105]

Wow – thanks for the great info, JP! I’ve been growing my own herbs for the first time this summer with great success. The spearmint and sage seem to be doing the best, so I’ve been making large amounts of tea out of them. Been drinking quite a bit of both for about 6 weeks now. On a whim, I decided to google positive and negative aspects of ingesting these herbs and found that Sage contains large levels of thujone and should not be ingested in large quantities – yikes! And now I’ve learned from you that spearmint in large quantities may be shrinking my boys and lowering my libido – double yikes!! Who knew? What a shame, as I really enjoyed both as an ‘all day’ beverage. Oh well. Say, do you have any info on French Tarragon as a tea preparation? I really like having fresh herbal beverage to take the place of all the soda I was drinking.
